Are the lift hooks left on a non Shelby 351w engine? What color would they be?

My 69 Mustang Sportsroof (March San Jose build) with a 351W had it's hooks painted engine color. I removed one to make an adapter to install a 61 VW bus transaxle into a 60 Beetle. It was done on July 20, 1969, the day that Neil Armstrong walked on the moon. Real easy to remember those moments.

Not sure if everything was the same at all Ford plants (guessing you might be dealing with an Atlanta built car - just a guess).

With that stated looking at 69 Dearborn 351w's, here is an example of a set left on the car (late 69 example)

Since the "Hooks" were painted by the sub contractor I've seen some that were close to Ford blue while others were a sort of teal

Hope this helps
