Another quick question guys. Should the antenna mast and base be black or chrome?

  Thanks, Pete.

The tubular extending mast of the antenna originally was likely stainless. Don't know that I've ever tested one to make a positive identification of the material used to form one

Though not a great pictures this may help

So the mast and base should be chrome for a 1970 Boss 302?

They are a shinny/polished metal finish. Don't believe they are chrome plated though the tip of the mast maybe

Same as a 70 Mustang

Marcus Anghel wrote a nice article on '69 & '70 Antennas.  It is in the library.
