Title: Intake Manifold
Post by: ChrisV289 on May 18, 2017, 05:12:33 PM
Not sure where to put this but my friend found an intake manifold off a 289 with a C4 part number and a date code of January of 1964. He was going to install it on a car desitined to go to Germany but if someone needs this early date code manifold he won't install it. Would this be off a Mustang or possibly a falcon with that early date code?

It would have to be a super early 64.5.

+1

Most likely too early for Mustang production, although there always seem to be rare exceptions to just about every rule.

Very nice. I have the same intake but with a  3M date code. I too thought it was way too early for Mustang production.

The tall bolt on the back probably would ID the kind of car it came off of.  Seems like I remember a throttle bracket or lever that stood up higher on the intake, unlike Mustangs with the auto trans kick-down that mounts flush.
