Title: Heater box restoration
Post by: CharlesTurner on September 29, 2009, 08:52:18 AM
Restored the heater box for the K convertible last weekend.  Came out pretty nice, so thought I'd share some pics (yes, I did snap that last clip on before the box was put in the car!):

There was an NOS one on ebay a few months ago. Not sure if this is it though.

Remember seeing a NOS but it was the coated replacement one. Was the one you saw a plain cardboard one in the box?

Just asking since I haven't seen one for sale for 20+ years when I found one.

From what I remember it was the old cardboard looking one, still had the box too, I think it went for $300 or so.

I actually don't remember where that particular heater plenum came from.  It's an original off some car, not NOS.

Only NOS one I have seen in the correct cardboard is the one Jeff has.

Is there some trick to see the photo of the heater box, or do they go away after years?
