1969 Eliminator G code Decals
c9zx:
I'm trying to identify the correct Tire pressure, Service, Emissions, and air cleaner decals, and location for 1969 Eliminator G code car. Build date is 05/29/1969. Any and all information and pictures will be appreciated. Thanks, Chuck

Hi Chuck lets see if we can help. Mixture of Cougar and Mustang pictures used to illustrate the details - both were assembled by the same workers and on the same line at Dearborn as you know
For location
Tire pressure decal - drivers side door above the door latch and top screw if same as a Mustang. By this late date Mustangs would have been well into using 1970 marked (part/engineering numbered) tire pressure decals. Have not studied the Cougar equivalent
Engine ID decal - Drivers side valve cover, close to horizontal on the face (towards the radiator) of the valve cover
Air Cleaner - Air filter replacement. Drivers side of the base, between the vacuum motor and the breather attachment tube location
BOSS 302 - Both valve covers -
Service - Forward face of the drivers side shock tower
Battery inspection decal - located typically slightly forward of the start solenoid just below the top edge of the passenger side front inner fender panel . Just a general area.

Jeff, Thanks for posting the pictures. I got a picture of the tire pressure decal from G code Eliminator with a build date of first week in July, 1969. No one that I can find reproduces it.

Let me try to post the picture again. Also sketch made of original emissions decal circa 1982

Added the tire pressure decal location in my first post. Both are from the same time period & appear to be the same decal Looks to be D0-C decal
Sorry to hear no one is reproducing that 1970 decal for the Cougar application
For the rest of the decals it appears that the ECS ones (service, Boss 302, engine ID, air cleaner base and battery inspection) will be your best choice at this time
Guess you have all the trunk ones worked out. Don't have allot fo 69 Cougar trunk pictures
