Yes, definitely no number or logo on that hose, I'm sure Jeff has dozens of examples if you need them. I have seen the hose with ribbing like the heater hose also. I usually use a piece of that and wipe off the white line.
The dip-stick screws into the top of the housing, the whole thing should be zinc plated, as well as the bolt/washer that attach the top cover to the reservoir. There are some NOS caps on ebay, probably be easier to buy one.
The Mannel page from the book would be good to have as documentation, along with photos of cars with close unit numbers at San Jose.
