68 expansion valve position

Need to know the rotational orientation of the AC expansion valve on the firewall of a 68.  The valve has a flat mushroom shaped pot where the cap tube enters to use as a reference.  Does this pot shaped part index at 12 o'clock or at 6 o'clock or at 3 o'clock?  Also looking for an image of an original Mustang in the expansion valve area which would answer this question as well as show how the factory cork tape was applied to the cap tube and the expansion valve.  Thanks for any help, advice and/or images of an original

Ok John took a look at the data base (in this search about 900 cars and 8,000 pictures ;) and below is what I found - unfortunately many of the views were poor or were blocked. Hope these will help answer some questions,   The last one is from a 67 SJ car which may be the same.

IF you look through all of them I think you can figure out the direction of the clamp, direction of the expansion and the general factory look of the wrap

Thank you.  The position shown in your images sems the most natural position when one puts the expansion valve on the evap.  But, as we all know the most common sense solution is not always the way the Ford assembly line employees did things. The images are exactly what was needed!  Jeff, as always I appreciate all the info you provide.
