A slightly off-topic, but related question...

Did the '67 San Jose cars use these rubber tips as well?
I don't recall seeing any when I disassembled my car...

I have not seen them on a 67. Possibly on a very late 67?

Yours would not have had them.

But some very late 67's had them. Don't have a solid change over date and few examples as not many people take pictures of the back side of the taillight panel it seems. And unfortunately the lack of them after 50 years doesn't always prove that they didn't have them so we're left to wonder
