69 door glass bracket location

(1/3) > >>

Brock:
Hi there I have a 1969 mach 1 and cant find any information where the brackets are glued on the door glass. If any body could give me these measurements for a fastback it would be appreciated. Thanks

First - Welcome to the site. Hope you find help, encouragement and support in your Concours related endeavours. There is allot of information already here and finding it can be a challenge at times. Others have just started reading through the threads in the years they are interested in - discovering all kinds of new information and prompting new or additional questions. Don't overlook the Library section also.

Found this using the words "69 window bracket" in the search feature. Third "button" from the left in the tool bar above ;)

Is that what you were looking for?

Brock:
Yes thank you i was  referred to a video on a cougar site and it said set brackets back 1" from ends of glass and said that was factory so just trying to clarify thanks

J_Speegle:
Given that the roller moves along that track there may have been some range where it was acceptable and it may be that different plants providing the glass had a couple of different jigs set up for this task that were different by that 1/4"

Believe that the measurements in the drawing were taken from an original front glass

Brock:
Thank you so much, on with the epoxy by your diagram. another question what kind of foam did they use between the body and chrome that holds the weatherstrip around top of door opening, thanks again for the diagram
