Autolite 4100 1.08 or 1.12?
« on: October 22, 2010, 07:42:31 PM »
Hi.  I have a 65 A code 4 speed (close ratio).  The engine had been rebuilt - 0.30 over, 10:1 compression ratio. A very mild upgraded cam to stock.  The carb does need a rebuild this winter.  It is an Autolite 4100 C4A F DH.  I'm thinking not to rebuild and go with the correct Autolite 4100 1.08.  I drive the car often - maybe 1200 miles a year.  I do not "get on it" but rarely - high rpm's is not what this car sees.  Am I going down the right path here?  Thanks.

Since you're posting this on the concours forum, I have to assume your car is otherwise stock and original in appearance?  Guess you could try out the 1.08 and see how it does.

yes - restored to original, but for the carb and added interior door lights (non-Pony car).  Thanks
