A/C Radiator Support Hole(s)
« on: October 23, 2010, 10:20:12 AM »
My 66 Metuchen C-Code came without air.  The Original owner had a non-Ford aftermarket A/C system installed in 67 or 68 based on the date code on the York compressor.

I have removed this system and am rounding up correct dated components for a concourse factory system.

I need a clear picture of the hole(s) where the condenser hoses penetrate the radiator core-support.  Whoever installed this aftermarket system, was pretty hamfisted in making the hole and I'm sure it's not correct.

I am going to weld it up and PUNCH the correct hole in the correct location just like Ford did it.

This is the lower hole in my 9/65 San Jose car, not sure how close this would be to yours.  Hope this helps.

  • If it does not fit, you need a bigger hammer!

Thanks a LOT guys!

Why was I thinking both hoses went through at the top?

Usually there are dimples in the metal where the holes are made when factory A/C installed.
