Transmission Dipstick
« on: March 20, 2011, 02:16:49 PM »
Anyone have a good picture of what color the automatic transmission dipstick should be?  I know it is supposed to be natural but just don't know how bright/dull it should be.

Have you had a look at the transmission dipsticks shown in Bob Mannel's book? he does a comparison of them for 64 1/2 versus 65, so there are some good pics of colorization there.

Here's the the previous thread on the book with the web link for ordering: http://www.concoursmustang.com/forum/index.php?topic=17.0

It really does pick up where the other engine books leave off, incredible reference. I'll see if i have any pics of my 64 1/2 dip stick.  My cars in Virginia and I'm in Rhode Island currently, so can't run out and take any pictures for you!
