Carb Question
« on: March 20, 2011, 11:27:17 PM »
I am looking to purchase an Autolite 4100 for my May 17th, San Jose built, automatic transmission equipped, 65 GT A-code Coupe. From what I understand from other sites, like Mustangtek, the proper parts numbers are C5ZF-D and C5ZF-F. Which of these two would be more acceptable, or are both correct for my application?

Thanks in advance,
Justin

Based on the production date of your car I might consider the C5ZF-F

Thanks Jeff.

So C5ZF-D would be for early 65's and the C5ZF-F for late 65's? It really does not have anything to do with plant designation?

Since the emissions differences between points of delivery were minimal that year I think it was just a progression of minor changes in the car design but if anyone has more information I would invite them to help out

According to John Enyeart (RIP)/Pony Carbs book  that is one of two used for that application. Don't have any examples I can pull from for addition support of input that match your car but sure someone will have more to offer
