1970 "Q" Code Mach1 Black/Black 2-Owner Car

1970 Mustang Mach 1 428 CJ
0R05Q126664

This is a 2-owner, San Jose built, Factory Black 1970 “Q” Code Mach1.  It was sold new in Martinez, CA and remained with the original owner until 2007, when the original owner's best friend purchased the car in Antioch, CA, but never transferred the title.  Therefore, it is still on the original California “pink slip”.  It is nicely equipped with options, including the C-6 Automatic Transmission, Air Conditioning, Fold Down Rear Seat, P/S, PDB, Tachometer, Tinted Glass, and Front Bumper Guards.

It is a completely numbers-matching car (engine and transmission have v.i.n.# on them) with it's original drive-train, body panels, Buck Tag, Engine Tag and Rear Differential Tag.  Additionally, there is and never has been any rust.  The original glass is in excellent condition!  Even the headlights are original!  The car suffered a small amount of damage to the left rear quarter many years ago, and it was repaired at Curt Carter Ford, where it was sold new.  Even with this previous repair, the car still wears about 30% to 40% of its original paint!

There are a few pieces missing that the new owner will need to locate as well.  They are:

1) Fan and Shroud
2) Original Master Cylinder
3) Original Thermostat Housing
4) Carburetor Spacer and PCV Hose
5) Original Coil
6) Water Tubes for Heater Hoses

Other than those items, the car is complete.  The original smog is there, as is the original Alternator, Power Steering Pump and Cooler, Radiator, Air Cleaner, Heat Riser and “S” Tube and even the Engine Lift hooks as well as most everything else.  The original upholstery is in amazing condition for being 42 years old.  The dash pad and carpet will need to be replaced, but the door panels, seats and headliner can be saved.

The car was disassembled for restoration in 2005.  The engine, transmission, rear differential, front suspension and rear suspension were all rebuilt starting in 2007 .  The engine and transmission have not been installed or run since.  The car is a roller, and all parts have been cataloged and boxed.  Please call or e-mail for more details or photos.  Price is $39,500.00

Call Ken for more info. and photos.

Thanks!

Cool license plate to go with it - looks like a cool car to have. :)
