1967 SJ A Code Autolite 4100 disassembly
« on: November 10, 2012, 10:58:25 PM »
I'm trying to pull the top of my carb off to replace the accelerator pump.  I see 11 Phillips head screws and have removed those along with disengaging the linkages.  Seems like it should come apart at this point.   What have I missed?   :-\

Did you take out the center stud for the air cleaner? It also holds the top. ;)

???  Dooh!!!   The center stud..   I knew that, yet tonight it was way too obvious for me to see.   ;D   Thank you JKWilson.
Thanks also to jwc66k for the instructions.   I have the more square version with the pump on top, but I'm sure there are similarities here that will be useful.  I appreciate your kind responses.

You're quit welcome. Even knowing it has to come out in order to disassemble, I've forgotten to remove it in the past and had to stop and wonder what the heck!   ;D
