I bought these from the Chicago Tribune newspaper. They used these pictures in their newspaper. I had always wondered when the 79 Mustang Assembly line started. I wanted to know because my 79 Mustang Cobra was an early build - 8-17-78. So it looks like my Mustang was built a couple of weeks after production started.
This is from a 1980 assembly line. Check out the build sheet on the right quarter.
