Yes, thank you. Maybe this should be put up in the library?

Excellent research! I'm trying to understand the change level. Does this refer to improvements made to the carbs ?? So sometimes the change level would progress with the date of the carbs?? ie. a change from A to B where the B change level would always have a later date than A?? ???

Here's the tag from my San Jose 66 K.
Carb tag - C6ZF F
Rev - A
Date - 5GD
Eng tag - 289 C 66 9 (oval Ford r)
5-H 246-S
Eng assy - 5H23
Is this enough "authentication"?

Give me a tag I don't already have recorded ;D
Merely giving credence and confirmation to your previous. ;)

Ford Car Parts (the infamous MPC), 75 ed, indicates that the service part number for both MT and AT cars is C4OZ-9510-F (Motorcraft CA-351) which was replaced by C4OZ-9510-G (Motorcraft CA-351-A). That's factory installed C6ZF-9510-C and C6ZF-9510-F. All this means is that the replacement stock number box (or paper tag) had an item inside that would work in your application. What has been found over the years as a NOS replacement is a variety of part numbers, as service stock number C4OZ-9510-G, also replaced the early Fairlane (63-65) and Mustang HP carburetors. Remember, Ford was not building Concourse grade cars. Ford dealer service departments were the same.

I'm trying to identify the tag date/s when the brass fittings at fuel inlets were phased out on early models (before seat was integrated into body).
Would this also include 2100 models as well? And 1100. I would assume that Ford would do the change over at the same time, or close anyway.

Neat original post.
I have a few HP289 carburetors if you are interested in images of their assembly tags.

Above, the C4OF-AL tag dated 4GA is one I am missing form my list. Always great finding a new HiPo to add! Can you please tell me if the tag is stamped as a Change Level "A" or "B"?
Thanks!
"A"

Thank you.

Speaking of tags, I've been trying to find one for my 66 HiPo automatic car. The carb is a C6ZF-F, and the date would be for a February 10th build date in San Jose. If anyone has something that would fall into that date range that they'd be willing to part with you would be greatly helping me out. I have a repro Marti tag on there now that kind of bums me out every time I look at it, haha.
Thanks,
Jason
