Headlight Buckets LH/RH?
« on: June 18, 2017, 12:47:22 AM »
Thanks for reading...

When I'm seeing the RH/LH stampings on headlight adjustment buckets, does that reference while standing in front of the car? or while seated inside it?

Thanks in advance!

The RH is the passenger side and LH the driver side.

The RH is the passenger side and LH the driver side.
For standard left-hand drive designs.  The aussies are always confusing folks.

Ok,

Here's why I ask, the bucket in my '67 has the bulb tab recesses skewed about 40 degrees counter clockwise.

I thought it might be a stamping error, or a production flaw.

Has anyone else heard of this?

Mystery solved, the headlight bowl has a production error, the "correct" one has the bulb tabs where they should be.

Sort of what I figured. The BULB is the same across all ford products for many years but the BUCKET is unique to different applications, say Ford used 3-4 different configurations where the adjusters are used.  No doubt it was a replacement bucket at some juncture.

Yes, it was installed by a previous owner.

The part number says it's for the left side, but is stamped RH as well.

A bad after market part.

$20 replacement on the way, now I can aim the headlights. 😉
