Yes Ford did change from 1/4 to 5/16 control valves in 67. As for 6-19-67date, I do not think there was a hard date for the changeover in the three plants.+1. I typically examine Shelby's and I have yet to identify a late production 67 Shelby built that had the larger fitting that hadn't been messed with. This leads me to the conclusion that it was not a hard date for change over but more for that was when Ford stopped getting inventory of the smaller style which allowed on hand stock to work its way through the system. Of course the same scenario goes for the accompanying lower pressure hose too.
Are you sure? In the "1967 Ford Products Engine Equipment Assembly Manual" (AM0157) pg126 (and beyond), it is Ford base number 9B289.I sure put a 2 instead of a 9 as a prefix - thanks for catching that. 289 is for the valve, I'm asking about the bracket, which is 290.

Scott,
If nobody else answer before I get out to the shop this afternoon and slide the harness out. I'll let you know.

Looking for help in identifying the application(s) for the pictured thermactor system 2B290 anti-backfire (gulp) valve bracket. TIAAre you sure? In the "1967 Ford Products Engine Equipment Assembly Manual" (AM0157) pg126 (and beyond), it is Ford base number 9B289.
