Wiper blade change
« on: November 22, 2017, 02:35:20 PM »
I wanted to change the wiper blades on my 66', (the full blade - metal and rubber not just the rubber inserts). Tried searching but not finding what I need. Is there an easy way to take the blade assembly off of the arm?

Originals have the squeeze ends that release the prongs and the rubber insert can be slid out.

Thanks Charles, but I am actually looking to replace the whole blade assembly.. Just not sure how to remove the whole assembly off of the wiper arm.  Picture example attached.

Thin  blade on the inside of the joint where the wiper arm and holder come together. Moving it away from the arm releases a depression in that blade that other wise holds the wiper holder from coming off the arm normally/when released

Be careful with your terminology...

If you are referring to just the "Rubber Blade Refill".  They just slide out of the holder....  Refills are still available, You just have to look around for them..  '65-'66 used 15" inch refill blades.. You can find them on ebay if nowhere else.. NPD may have them as well..

If you are just removing what you have pictured... Just lift up the latch and pull...pretty much a no-brainer...

Thanks everyone. Yep, trying to use the right words is sometimes harder than performing the act. ;)
