Title: Original engine belts ?
Post by: kammertime on May 25, 2017, 02:55:53 PM
I recently purchased a 73 conv and the po gave me the following belts that he claimed are original to the car; all are Motorcraft.

The car is a Q code with air and power steering.

D2AE-8620-CSA

D2OE-8620-AFA

D2OE-8620-AHA

All 3 have the same code "AU173" .   Is this a date code ?

Could they be original to the car ?

Thanks,
John

I found all the part numbers in the MPC but ran out of time. Down load your own copy -
http://squarebirds.org/Manuals/1965/1965-72FordPartsTextCatalog/
There's 45 files that takes about 440mb of space. Set up two directories, one illustrations, the other text.
The belt should have a Motorcraft number - JB-405 - or something like that, "J" is belts, the "B" is width, "405" is length = 40 5/8.
