I posted this on VMF and was directed here!
I have an inline six that is very early '65 (lotta 64 1/2 parts still mixed in) that is 100% original with exception of 70's lacquer wimbleton white paint to replace the Twilight Turquoise that peeled. I'm trying to do a mostly period correct hot rod build on it using a 250 head and offy intake with triple webers. Anyhow, I have paint questions....
It has power steering with the Eaton pump! I cannot find a SINGLE color pic of the 1964 1/2 or 1965 straight six with this setup. A few with ford pump but that's different. I'm trying to make sure brackets etc are correctly painted.... Anyone here have a pic or three?

Welcome to the site. Hope you find it helpful in your concours related needs and projects. Sorry they could not help you over there and you had to join for maybe a single answer. But in any case PS was unpopular for these little engines and for the type of owners that purchased them. Many were built with the other style pump as you have likely found but below are two examples of the Eaton pumps installed. Sorry the pictures are not better but we get and keep what we can. Neither are restored or nice original examples.

An interesting lunchtime diversion since my first car was a 65 Mustang, with the then big 200 cid six with its anemic 3 speed manual.
I did the tri-power conversion, big cam (with early Ford 144/170 adjustable rockers), mandatory Thrush glasspack (because the sticker was sooo cool), converted it to a Dagenham 4 speed, baby moons, Mach I hood blackout and did the other silly things a teenager does. Poor car . . .

Mine appears to be the 1st heavily pixelated pic.... Silver with short fill spout... There's actually a 3rd bracket that i have yet to see elsewhere which attaches to the for side of the pump and goes back to about the distributor.... Triangulates the whole pump system for strength.... My bar is silver like the can but not sure if that's original or added color?? Off the car so I can't put a pic up.
Also, is the silver satin or gloss on reservoir?

The pump reservoir paint is semi-gloss silver. The top bolt should be zinc plated with no paint on the rubber gasket. Also, the screw in cap should be zinc plated, not plated (common restoration mistake).

No idea, not familiar with that part of the 6 cyl setup. My guess would be semi-gloss black though.
