Hi, has anyone scraped off the heavy black, tar-like sealant on the lip of the cowl to firewall join, I removed mine today to clean up surface rust. It was cracked And in certain areas coming off so needed to be replaced. I left it in some areas where it looked quite solid.
What sealant would you recommend using, and how would you apply it to get the factory look. Thanks.
