Part ID help - multiple items 5-6
« on: October 28, 2016, 10:44:43 PM »
Item 5 - C7ZZ-17266-A Clip - could not find this in the 67 MPC.

Item 6 - D0ZB-16C710-B Hood pins - looks like perhaps they were tinkered with - I thought that 70 was twist lock, not pins.

Thanks, as always

Neither base number (17266 or 16C710) is in the 75 MPC either. From the base numbers, 17266 is in the speedometer group of part numbers; 16C710 is in the group of hood items. That number appears to be a casting number that might be a component of 16929 or another base number assembly. Both may have been replaced or discontinued. Aren't "Dead Sea Scroll Artifacts" fun?

Was in my Aug 67 version.

No 2 bulldog clip 1 7/8" long attaches to the left hand flange of frame rear support

Basically it appears that its the outer tube that goes over the speedometer cable outer jack where the retaining clip attaches the cable to the frame on a 6 and 8 cylinder C4 application from what I get out of the number, name and description

Fantastic.  The Jan 67 did not have it.  Thanks Jeff

Jim, thanks for checking.  Yes these can be a challenge.  I understand say a air cleaner base unit with no stamped part number or sticker.  So many look the same.  But in the case of 17266 I have the package with the part number.  One would think that should be easy to figure out!
