Power Disc Brake Vacuum Booster Check Valve
« on: April 17, 2021, 08:14:18 PM »
I have a 1966 mustang 289 V8 automatic with power disk brakes. I have a question on the vacuum line to the brake booster. I have seen a Tee type fitting in the intake manifold with one line to the transmission vacuum modulator and one line to the brake booster. I have also seen one vacuum line from the intake to the vacuum booster check valve and then the vacuum modulator line also connected to the check valve (C$DZ-2365-A Power Brake Check Valve). Which one is the correct way to connect the vacuum lines?

Power disc brakes were not an option for 65-66, so there isn't a 'correct' configuration for this.

Let me rephrase the question. What would be correct with power drum brakes?

I would have to look this up in the library, which is available to you. Try the 66 section, Master Parts Catalog.

I did look through my pictures and can't be of any assistance. Very unpopular option, don't often get a good view of the back of the intake manifold if the car is at a show or for sale
