67 - Ivy gold interior question
« on: January 22, 2018, 09:51:32 PM »
67 GTA s code fast back built April 67 San Jose   deluxe  interior  ivy gold 6G
Was the dash pad, lower knee pad , and the A pillar pad all the same color a really  dark green, almost  black or could  they be both tones of green ,
I believe  the carpet that I found  when I took apart the fold down rear seat looks  original and it's a dark moss green almost  the same color  as the car yet replacement  carpet came as a light  green with a goldish hue

That carpet example looks way too green at least on my monitor.

A few unrestored examples from an earlier post/thread. On my monitor picture E4 is the closest as far as carpet color to original cars I've owned and seen

E1-

E2-

E3-

E4-

E5-

Here's a thread that addresses the headliner color if needed

Thanks  Jeff,I feel it's better to go with known original, I cannot  positively  say that mine is original, even though  E5 photo looks darker than E4 , could be  the lighting  I got a perfect  match on the head liner I saved the piece  I found  wrapped  around  the rear window  opening ,  replacement  head liner  was identical

I agree with Jeff that color looks off to me.

In my humble opinion is the A pillar pad and the lower knee pad the same color (bright green).
The dash pad was/is much darker green, almost black.
As always ... pictures says more as 1000 words, but when it comes to color matching  :o

Agree though would describe them as light rather than bright.  But as you mention pictures are a better descriptor

I think its is shown in pictures 1, 3 & 4

That's true, Jeff.
Apologies, describing the wright terms isn't easy for me.
Bright is more shiny, while the A pillar pad isn't at all shiny.
As always, we learn every day more and more!
