1991/2 Ford radio wiring

Midlife,

Do you deal at all w/ late model Ford wiring?  I went to my local Pick and Pull and removed 3 OEM Ford AM/FM/cassette radios from a Mercury Topaz and Ford Escort.  Radio p/n's: F23F-19B132-BA.  All have 2 main connections in the back (black plug and gray plug).  The black plug is an 8 pin plug w/ 8 wires and I'm pretty sure it is for my front and rear speakers.  The gray plug is also an 8 pin plug w/ only 5 wires in it.  I believe the gray plug is for my power/ground/illumination.  Do you happen to know the color codes for both the gray and black plug?  If I can get one of the 3 radios to work it will be going into my '91 Mercury Grand Marquis.  What would be the best way to bench test these radios to see if they work?

thank you,

Matt

Sorry, but I can only deal with AM radio wiring...*LOL*.  My expertise stops about mid-70's.

I think most stereo radios have standardized wire colors.  Have you tried googling radio wire colors or connectors?

Thanks Midlife, I wasn't sure how many different years you covered.  I found several google results.  Thanks.
