'68 convertible , 289 4sp
« on: September 17, 2013, 03:01:52 PM »
Have a '68 convertible that I'm fixing up as a really nice weekend cruiser/attend local shows.  It originally came with a 289 and 4sp trans (only 478 made like this), Highland Green with black interior, white folding glass power top, console and deluxe wheel covers.  Sold new at Koons Ford, I have the Marti report.  Plan to put a 4V carb on with dual exhaust and add power disc brakes.  It's a very solid and straight car, with original sheet metal.  I have no problem changing the color or adding options.  Expect to have this one done in a couple months, probably in time for Christmas.  It currently is stripped down to a rolling shell, body work is nearly complete, working on priming/blocking now.  Target price somewhere around $26-28k, will be turn-key and look new throughout.  Send a PM if interested.
