Yes Ford did change from 1/4 to 5/16 control valves in 67. As for 6-19-67date, I do not think there was a hard date for the changeover in the three plants.

1967 Mustang / 1967 PS control valve
« Last post by Ashley on Today at 08:15:40 AM »
Purchased a Bendix PS control valve from seller on eBay with 5/16" pressure port, with a date code on cap 2K 25 A. Is this valve off a 1972 model year car? Also keep seeing a 6-19-67 date Ford made a change from 1/4" to 5/16" pressure hose on all Mustang cars. Is this correct and the Ford code for this change.  Thanks

Are you sure? In the "1967 Ford Products Engine Equipment Assembly Manual" (AM0157) pg126 (and beyond), it is Ford base number 9B289.
Jim
I sure put a 2 instead of a 9 as a prefix - thanks for catching that.  289 is for the valve, I'm asking about the bracket, which is 290.

Scott,
If nobody else answer before I get out to the shop this afternoon and slide the harness out. I'll let you know.

John

Sorry Scott I couldn't get the harness out to measure the hole for you.

Looking for help in identifying the application(s) for the pictured thermactor system 2B290 anti-backfire (gulp) valve bracket.  TIA

Parts / Re: 69 70 Mustang Speaker Cover identification

Standard interior vs deluxe.  The standard (CW) is completely flat on the backside, made to fit up against the metal door.  The deluxe is contoured at the bottom to fill the gap where the speaker cover goes over the door panel, since the deluxe door panels (and Cougar panels) are cut out all the way to the bottom edge when used with speakers.
