Noticed that the registered mark has a P rather than R Depth of the stamping suggest a flaw in the stamp not the stamping

I saw the "P" right away as the "tip-off"...

Now I know what to expect if I ever order one from Marti Autoworks...

Hey, I guess they could be a lot worse...!!

Where else would it be from??? I don't think anyone else even has the proper licensing to do it..and also, I've never even heard of anyone other than Marti making these.. Be prepared to wait 3-6 months for it if you need one though...That's his wait time usually..

The original poster didn't say where it was from so didn't want to assume it was him.  Yeah his turn around time is long.  had to wait 8 weeks for an axle tag

Believe the tag in the original post is on ebay at present or was earlier this week, i didn't watch it as I noticed it was the repo style.

Just on the 66 topic for a little bit.  Marti doesn't do the brass tags for Californiian Smog cars, only aluminum style, so easy to spot a repo tag for C6ZF-D AND C6ZF-E examples.

So you're saying the California 4100 tags were brass? So a C6ZF-F tag would have been brass, well that sucks... haha. I had one made for my carb from Marti because I didn't have the original, so it's aluminum, guess I'll have to wait even longer looking for an original since I bet those are even more rare :(

So this one they show on MustangTek is incorrect? http://www.mustangtek.com/4100/C6ZF-F.html

Thanks,

Jason

Model C6ZF-F was not for a T/E application so it would not have a brass tag.

C6ZF-D (1.08 M/T with T/E)
C6ZF-E (1.08 A/T with T/E)

Model C6ZF-F did not use a brass tag.

Per Bob Mannel "Not until late 1967 would T/E be incorporated into the 289 HiPo", page 6-12.

OK, good, was worried there for a second. Still would love to find an original tag at some point...

Here is another reproduction example.
Could you point out why it's a reproduction?
