Post by: HerbTousley on January 19, 2011, 12:10:54 AM
I just located and purchased a DOZE -6015-B block and heads dates 9L19 in great condition. The Vin # is 168257

don't really want to get rid of it as its for a project but if the original owner is anyplace to be found and want to reunite car and engine I will pass it along for what i paid...

Have you placed a "Found" post on the Boss 302 site?   If so - great ;)

You may also be able to contact the Boss registry directly and see if there is a Deaborn or NJ Boss in the registry with that sequential number

Good luck

Wow !  What a real gentleman!  If I had 168257 I would literally get a plane ticket to your house and give you a hug!

That is the difference in "car guys" !   It's funny, I don't have a Boss 302 - so I don't look at it.
Figuring there is someone that NEEDS it.

The other thing that happens with car guys, people "building" stuff is we sometimes change our plans. (do to factors)  With car parts you can always trade provided both parties are happy.

It's not about taking advantage rather - some "start" with a block and heads only to find that they are worth more as barter towards possibly an entire engine.

I have been sitting on a 408 Stroker and Richmond 5 speed (this is a running drop in unit with shifter) - I have been looking of an appropriate project body!   There are others that have a car but no drivetrain !

This forum might be the first place people start LISTING LOCATIONS on their posts -so we can get together and help each other!
