« on: January 30, 2015, 05:50:08 PM »
Here is my progress so for on my 1.5 year restoration project on my 1967 Mustang GTA S Code. Came with deluxe interior and exterior, tilt steering, upper console, AM radio and I'm only adding the lower center console.
Thanks for looking, and any suggestions are very welcome!!!!

Looks like a great start. Guessing it's a San Jose car - what were the original interior and exterior colors?

Suggestions?
Read then reread the threads and ask questions BEFORE  you get to that step or stage.

Lots of help here from people who have been down the same path as your starting.

Get a good handle on....

- your expectations
- what your end goal really is
- an honest evaluation of your pocket book, family situation, your abilities  and space
- and finally your ability to handle challenges/issues because they will come up  - they happen to all of us.

But we're here for you - good luck keep moving forward

The exterior was Ford Candy Apple Red and the interior was Black. While the body is at the body shop, I'm starting on the engine. I'm trying to get a handle on the starter and alternator. Did they place ink stamps on them in 1967? Also, do you know where I can find hoses for the smog system?

Thanks,
Travis

Current discussion that should provide some guidance on the starter. Looks like you should be able to use an unmarked/unstamped unit - lucky you

As for the alternator - yes the color and engineering number on the ink stamp identifies the application

Also, do you know where I can find hoses for the smog system?

Might have some in the boxes. - PM where your located and your needs
