heater hose connector elbow on manifold

for a 66 a code. should that elbow be painted or not. I have to replace it and do some engine bay clean up at the same time.

Seen them both ways in '66. Provide your scheduled date and assembly plant and maybe someone will have some cars close in production to yours to compare.

'65 V8 intake elbow is not typically painted.
