Boss 429 coil marking
« on: July 03, 2016, 05:24:21 PM »
Almost every Boss 429 has the number 10 on the coil bottom. Anyone know what it means?

Have not found anyone that could explain the purpose of that marking.

Were they all mark with the same number originally??   Don't know but would guess (looking at other marks and patterns) that these have simply been copied and repeated over and over

This might be the origin of the mark - 69 Boss 429 engine installation picture

That's certainly a good guess. Timing on a 69 is 10, not sure if 70 is the same. Don't think I ever saw any other number.
