65 automatic shift indicator lamp install
« on: December 04, 2016, 03:29:27 PM »
My fastback had the light for the shifter in the hole, but not attached to anything.  I decided today to attach it so I can see what gear I am in ;).  Problem is I don't think it will stay.  From the pictures I find online it clips into a bracket that is attached to the shifter.  Mine has no bracket just a recanglular hole in the shifter that I shoved it into.

I don't think it will stay.

Is this something that changed over the years, or is different by plant?  Mine is an early Oct 64 San Jose car.

Spread the light socket tabs out, it should click and stay in the square hole.
