How to clean the "textured black" paint on a 70 Boss?
« on: January 15, 2017, 04:04:40 PM »
Well, now that my car is painted, I'm starting to see why many Boss owners paint all the black surfaces in low gloss black instead of the "textured black". What are some of the methods being used by the "experienced" owners to clean dust, bugs, etc. Thanks again for all the help on this site.  :)

large strips of wide masking tape will clean off most dust and dirt.
if washing use the newer lint free rags.

Thanks for the tip. That is a new one that I will give a try. Only a few miles since completion but I need to be ready for the spring time bugs!

If they get too bad , old wax or harder to remove "stuff" and other methods fail I've wiped the area down with wax and silicon remover in the past. Do it when its cool and not in direct sun light.
