Air Cleaner - cleaning.....

OK......looking for the best way to get my air cleaner for my 79 Pace Car back to looking showroom fresh...

Any tricks of the trade?????

Not sure which air cleaner you have. If you are speaking of the brushed aluminum top cover, mount the cover on a drill and place it in a vise. Use some green scotch brit and polish it while spinning it. I did this  on my 85.
