289 Cobra break-in fan
« on: June 15, 2010, 12:26:28 AM »
It's me again. Was the fan and pulley set-up on the 289 Cobras, the one that was bolted to the water pump and was supposed to be removed after the break in period, the same as what was on a U code Mustang? I know that the fan was the same as the 64 six cylinder Falcon, but, it seems like that would just about have to be the same as the U code Mustangs. I have no idea which pulley was used. Stamped steel? Cast iron?  Thanks.

Believe we are ill prepared to answer Cobra questions. Might try as ask over on the SAAC site. Plenty of helpful people over there.

If you want to reword the question (something like what fan and crank pulley did the U code Mustang come with originally) and post in the 65-66 section I'm sure Charles and the others can help

Just trying to get you the right/correct answers to fill your needs
