1969 Console Reinforcing Bracket Orientation
« on: March 30, 2017, 09:42:34 PM »
I removed my console and did not document the orientation of the metal reinforcing bracket that goes underneath the front of the console in my 1969 GT350.  I reinstalled the bracket using the front 2 screw holes on both sides of driveshaft tunnel, but now my shelby console insert won't seat low enough in the console.  It seems like my console is mounted too low causing the console insert to bottom out on the auto trans shift bezel plate.  The console insert sticks up too high from the console base.

Does anyone have any photos of the orientation of this metal bracket under the front of the console for a car built in December, 1968?  Also, where do the 4 clips for the cigar lighter wiring harness get mounted to and on what side of console?  Thanks for any photos or help.
