69 NOS radiator ID?
« on: February 21, 2021, 03:07:30 PM »
I have a lot of NOS parts that I will not be using and ran across a 69? NOS radiator in a Ford box that I can?t identify.  It appears to be a two row unit for a small block but not sure if it is auto or manual trans or what applications it might fit.  Can anyone help by looking at a few photos?  There are no stamping a on either side nor is there a tag affixed.  Only markings are on top of the tank.  Box is beat up and I can only make out the last character that is likely the part number and is ?B.?

From the first picture the radiator does have the attachments for the automatic fluid lines. Likely sold for both applications to reduce inventory needs

C9ZZ-B is shown in the late MPC as the service part number for C9ZE-C

In 72 it was used to service

67 289's with standard & Extra cooling as well as AC applications
68 289's with standard cooling as well as AC applications
68 302's with standard cooling
69 302 2V and 351 with standard cooling

As mentioned above they grouped together applications for the replacement radiators in an effort to reduce the number of radiators they needed to service and sell the most. Good example of a service replacement part likely made well after the cars were built. Date may be Feb 1972, 1982, 1992
