69 Mach trunk lid stripe kit

(1/1)

Daven:
Hi All,

While digging through the library, I found an article on the new "69" 428CJ mustang.  I can't remember the magazine name, however the original car as far as I could tell by the pictures had no Mach1 on the rear trunk lid stripe.  I have a Sept. 68 built San Jose "69" Mach 428CJ AUTO  If anyone has one close to that production or any info on the trunk lid stripe kit, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Daven.

There are some posts on the CJ forum about the trunk stripe.

From a much later built San Jose But it is an example of a no Mach I rear stripe

Another detail is the early version of the stripes that were non-reflective. But don't believe anyone has put a date or range to that issue yet

Jeff,

Thanks for posting those pictures.
Those are some rare shots of the non lettered trunk stripe.

Dale.
