Title: National Council of Mustang Clubs
Post by: Toejamm on March 02, 2011, 02:19:54 PM
Greetings all,

Does anyone here ever run across any National Council of Mustang Clubs stuff in their travels?  It seems to have been a very popular club in the 60's but I haven't see much in the way of collectables floating around.  I thought it might be cool stuff to have with my 67s.

Thanks,
Fran

Believe the bumper stickers are being reproduced. Have found dash plaques and the jacket patch over the years

I found this dash plaque on the glove box door of a 66 GT we were taking the rear Axel out of in a salvage yard. I thought it was cool since we have 67s and 68s. Marty

I often see NCMC stuff on Ebay.  Club pins, window decals.

I was a participant in one of the rallyes at the time and still have the dash plaque.

The National Council of Mustang Clubs was an official Ford sponsored organization.
Clubs were locally sponsored by dealerships.
The 'National Council' had a quarterly publication.
The 'Dash Plaque' pictured in the previous post was provided to local clubs
by the Nation Council for an annual charity event held each April.

You may also on occasion see lapel pins and other similar items with
the NCMC emblem.

In late 1970 the organization was merged into the Ford sponsored
'Ford Motorsports Association'  (FMA) clubs were designated either
Sports/Rallye, Drag Racing, or Off Road

There are FMA patches out there; also patches that designate which
branch organization the club was affiliated with (Sports/Rallye, Drag
Racing, or Off Road) as well as  membeship year patches (and a
'Charter Member' patch).

FMA also had a newspaper named 'Motorsports World' that was
mailed to members.
