Fan clutch question.
« on: May 10, 2020, 08:29:27 AM »
Hi guys, the original fan and clutch for my 250ci was long gone.  After several years I finally found one. Restored it and put it on.  The turning resistance seemed to be ok holding in hand, however I finally gave it a test run.  It kept the engine cool while running but 30 seconds after turning the engine off the radiator spits some fluid thru the overflow tube.   Question is:  can the clutch be rebuilt ?  If so does anyone here know where send it ?  Thanks.

Thank You.   I drove the car all of last year with a standard fan without the clutch.  It ran great with no problems.  This setup caused it to overheat within 15 minutes.  I believe the radiator was filled correctly.
