Foam for under side window weather strip channel

What is the correct foam, and where can you get it, to use between the metal channel that retains the side window weather strip and the body?  On a '67FB.

Not sure about original, but I just took a scrap of the old and found a similar two side adhesive medium density foam tape at a local rubber/seal/plastics shop.  I found 3mm x 20mm, close, FAM calls out size, .88" x .12" for the 68's.  Not sure if it is the same for all years.  Figured close enough.

Might have found a good product for this.  Armacell AP/Armaflex Insulation Tape part # TAP18230.  Just needs to be cut to the right width since it comes 2" wide.  1/8" thick x 2" side x 30' roll.  Got it at local True Value, Home Depot may have it as well.

I did some research on that material a while back. It is called Butyl tape or Sealant tape. C. R. Laurence Co. makes and or distributes most of it to the glass industry.

Can anyone confirm that the door window uses 1/16", and the quarter and wing windows use 1/32"? This being for a 1967-68 coupe.

NPD sells a 1/16 x 48 inch roll of it under part number 214A10-1. $4.20 catalog price.

Think you are talking about a different item than the original post.

I read the OP as about the thin tape between the stainless molding that goes between the main upper door/window weatherstrip and the body.  That is a foam tape, size as noted.

I think you are referring to the tape that is used to seal the windows into the stainless frames, different item.  Nnot sure baout the sizes, but think they both use the same thickness.  Oddly, had a question on a similar topic I was going to post, and read this first, but will start a new tread on that!
