I found this patch panels which seems to be correct for our 69-70 cars but price is quite high in my opinion.

http://www2.cougarpartscatalog.com/69panpatch.html

but somebody is reproducing those.

Jeff, thanks for that link. I already seen that and because of that I was assuming there must be reproductions available.

Now when I looked more carefully that How-To Section and "Fixing Reproduction Floor Pans for 69-70". There was actually used cheaper, more easily available patch panel. But 69-70 is reproduced by someone.

No problem just needed to mention it just in case.

One of the challenges with redoing these cars is that sometimes there are reproduction, sometimes there were reproductions and sometimes we hope there will be a reproduction ;)   Then we hope that the reproduction is a good/correct one    ::)

Good luck with your project

I called WCCC not too long ago asking if / when they will get these back in stock.  I was told they haven't had them in stock in quite a long time and are not sure when or if they will get them again.  :-/

Thanks guys for your comments. Have to figure out something and maybe to use those less correct ones to get floor back to shape.

I sent an email to Horse Heaven's address from their website and inquired about availability;

Quote
I am currently waiting for new blanks to arrive, but should be shipping by Thursday, 10/23.  $90 for one panel or $145 for two, includes shipping.  Panel runs from factory front seam to a couple inches past the seat platform front edge, and from rocker-panel pinch weld to inboard of the frame rail, though usually people make the seam along the top of the frame rail to hide it.

- Harland

I'm wondering if it might be best to find someone with some donor sheet metal they might part with.  Heck, I'm probably gonna need complete rear quarters anyhow, so maybe I should start scouting for a whole donor car, LOL / cry!

This is how I created mine. If I were to do it again I will use a 71-73 floorpan & section it, inseting a 2" strip to elongate the "fingers".

The last picture is the HH patch in my scrap pile.

So what was wrong with the HH patch?  It looks a little wrinkley to me in places, but is there something else about it that made you scrap it?

It is virtually flat on the spine, very poor definition. While I know no reproduction parts are perfect this one if not worth the effort in my opinion.

Good to know, thanks!

The more I think about it, the more I think a donor car will be my best option.
