Any pictures showing correct mounting hardware for a ram air 71 to 73 hood? Building a car for a friend using repo hood and repo plenum. It looks like phillips screws are used all around, this has bolts at intake ducts. Front of it.

The Application notes for each of the NPD Mounting Kits call out the Phillips head screws for 67 SJ cars; and hex head for Dearborn.  I'll go with Phillips for my SJ car.
You do that. ::)

1968 Mustang / 1968 fastback seats

I am restoring a 1968 Mustang fastback GT with black decor interior.  Were comfort-weave seats available in non-Shelby 68 fastbacks or just the smooth vinyl?

The Phillips head screw type is the early Masonite board fastener https://www.npdlink.com/search/products?search_terms=011229-1AK&top_parent=200001&year=  . I have not seen the hex head one used for this application.

Interior & Trunk / Re: 65/66 spare tire - pin or hook?

I've seen the slide plate on early February '65 San Jose cars, so the TSB is generally correct.

I guess you didn't find the block assembly date (short block heads etc.)since you only talk about the block casting date.You want the C6OE version based on the time frame you laid out and conformation from the Bob Mannel.

My Dec SJ had the phillips head screw type for this situation.

Interior & Trunk / 65/66 spare tire - pin or hook?
« Last post by fast66 on Today at 08:20:43 AM »
Hi, we had a discussion about when the change from slot/pin to loop/hook for fastening the spare tire, happened?
I read something about a TSB from feb1 -65 but someone else said "early" -65...

Anyone in the group that can clarify when this change happened?

Thanks,
Claes
