Title: 65/66 fastback carpet rear quaters
Post by: x66fastbackx on April 20, 2010, 11:28:28 PM
Trying to install my carpet right and cant figure how the carpet fits around the rear interior quarters directly behind the seats on my fastback. Hope I described te location correctly. It would be the fiberglass interior quarter at the bottom. The carpet raps around it somehow.

any help thanks,john

You should have separate pieces of carpet that glue onto the interior quarters at the front/bottom.  The actual carpet does not wrap around them, it goes under, but the glued on pieces finish off that area.

When was your car built and where?

The carpet was not always trimmed as it comes in the kits (sewn all the way around the edge)

Sure they do it just to look prettier -  goes with the headlight dimmer grommet :(
