Title: Strut rod brackets
Post by: Myfo28 on August 17, 2017, 11:31:48 AM
Both left and right strut rod brackets have rusted and needs replacement.  Also, radiator support cross member where the brackets are welded have rusted and need replacement.  Can just the cross member be replaced without replacing the entire radiator support?  Any brands out there that make aftermarket concours parts?

Yes you can replace just the front cross member, one or both of the strut rod brackets.  Play close attention to how they are attached originally (either from your originals or from another car same plant and time)  and reproduce it on the replacement

Sure there are repos from the regular panel suppliers - not sure if they look the same as originals. Not unusual for a supplier to make one size fits all (for example 67-70) and sell them as correct for every year then there can be differences from year to year (for the strut rod brackets for example)
