Title: '94 Mustang Seats
Post by: sdgrant on January 13, 2012, 09:39:22 PM
A friend is asking me where to purchase replacement seats for their '94 Mustang convertible.  I recommended re-upholstery unless the frame is damaged. Any other ideas I can offer them?

Probably the only option really. I have had good luck with reupholstering in my older cars. They should be able to use the old covers as patterns and the material shouldn't be hard to find.

You would be surprised what's still available in the junkyards, particularly nowadays when they can access every JY in the country.  You probably can find a very nice set for $3-500.

For that year, there are probably ready-made leather seat covers available.  If they are cloth, an auto upholstery shop should be able to either make new ones or fix the old ones by replacing sections.

Also, check with Ford, they might still have NOS covers in stock.

Here ya go, this company "TMI" is highly rated by many Mustang Enthusiasts for their quality of upholstery and/or other interior related parts:

As others have said too, if you are looking for complete used seat sets, definitely check out multiple Mustang Forums classified sections, eBay and also your local Craigslist.  You can get some inexpensive "package deals" from folks who are parting out cars or those seeking to upgrade their stock seats.
