Title: 1964.5 mustang 5 lug steel wheel
Post by: macdude67 on April 04, 2010, 03:45:42 PM
Can anyone show me what a 64.5 14" stock steel wheel should look like? Is it the same a 1965 wheel? The 65 wheel has 3 tabs or bumps that hold would hold the small center caps like on econoline vans the hubcaps used to be called "dog dishes". and the newer rims have 4 bumps. Is the date c oding on a 64.5 rim the same as a 65? Which has e the ford oval with something like 5ME below it.

From what I have seen the 64.5 wheels are the same
as the 65 or even 66 versions. The date coding for a
64.5 wheel should start with 4M_, the last letter for
the month.
Some of the early 64.5's with a V8 had a 13" 5 lug wheel.
